Selecting a surface finish

Surface finishing procedures are used to alter the surface texture, smoothness, and appearance of a part, for functional or aesthetic reasons.

Surface finishes are especially valuable for end-use parts, including consumer products, where rough edges and textures may be undesirable.

Different finishes are suitable for varied materials and manufacturing processes.

You may select any surface finish from the Finish drop-down box after uploading your CAD file. If a surface finish is not listed, it is not compatible with the material and manufacturing process you have chosen.
